Family Dentist in Monroe, GA
Dr. Shaw had the privilege of working with Dr. Taylor for nearly 5 years and is committed to continuing the personal touch and quality care that Taylor Made Smiles has become known for. Dr. Shaw understands that visiting the dentist can be stressful for many reasons and he is committed to helping patients achieve their own personal goals for oral health. Along with our friendly team of hygienists, assistants, and office staff, Dr Shaw can listen to your concerns, and develop a treatment plan that is right for you.
Born in Atlanta, Dr. Shaw grew up in Massachusetts but returned to Georgia to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Georgia Tech. He went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree (D.M.D.) from the Medical College of Georgia in 2011. He has been with our practice since August 2014.
Dr. Shaw moved to Oconee with his wife Dr. Melissa Shaw, to be near family. Dr. Melissa Shaw is a pediatric dentist with Athens Dentistry for Children. They have 3 children, Paul, Haley, and Silas. Dr. Micah Shaw worked in a number of dental practices before finding a permanent home with us in 2014.
Dr. Shaw values continuing education and is a member of the Georgia Dental Association, Clarke County Dental Society, and the Eastern District Dental Society. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Shaw enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He is a member of Christ Community Church. His hobbies include woodworking, playing games with friends, and also volunteering at FISH dental in Monroe, GA.
Dr. Lisa Duong is a highly skilled and compassionate dentist dedicated to providing exceptional dental care to patients of all ages. With 17 years of experience in the field of dentistry, Dr. Lisa combines advanced clinical expertise with a deep commitment to patient comfort and satisfaction.
Dr. Lisa earned her degree in dentistry from Dental College of Georgia. Prior to that she earned her diploma in dental assisting and degree in dental hygiene. She is also a proud member of the American Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Lisa believes in a holistic approach to dental care, focusing on the overall well-being of each patient. She is known for her gentle manner, thorough explanations, and commitment to ensuring every visit is as comfortable and stress-free as possible. Dr. Lisa is committed to staying at the forefront of dental advancements to ensure that patients receive the highest quality of care.

Outside of the office, Dr. Lisa enjoys spending time with family and friends, walking in nature, and traveling.

Angie has been with Taylor Made Smiles since 1997. She enjoys how we work well together and that we are like family. As our Office Manager, she keeps us organized and helps our patients with dental insurance and financial arrangements so they can get the care they need. Her generous and kind nature makes her an invaluable part of our team.
Angie has been married to Bo since 1988 and has 1 daughter, Brooke. Brooke is married to Tyler and they have three daughters, Lyla, Lainey and Lakely. She and her family are members of Bold Springs Baptist Church and they enjoy camping, fishing, going to the beach and GA Football. Go DAWGS!!

Danielle has been in dentistry since 2006. She graduated a Certified Dental Assistant from Athens Tech in 2009. She also has an Associate of Science degree from Gainesville State that she earned in 2010. She has been working with us since 2017 as a dental assistant and now works up front to help with scheduling, marketing and patient needs.
Danielle is married to John, and they have a son, Dalton. Danielle and family attend Union Chapel Church. They enjoy fishing, hunting and anything outdoors. Danielle loves playing softball and cheering on the GA DAWGS football team in the fall.

Kim is a graduate of Dental Assisting at Gwinnett Tech and has served dentistry since 2000. She has been with us since 2002.

She has two daughters. Jessica, who is married to Anthony and they have a son named Noah. Also another daughter Kaylyn who recently started her teaching career. . Kim enjoys spending time with her family, especially her sweet grandson, Noah.
“I always knew I wanted to work in the medical field but just didn’t know what that would be. I loved going to the dentist and hated going to the doctor as a kid. When I found out about dental assisting I knew it was a perfect fit for me. I love meeting the new patients, taking care of their needs and just how our office has the hometown feel and everyone is like family."
Kaidyn graduated from Accelerated Dental Assisting Academy in 2021 and has been with Taylor Made Smiles since 2022. She attended Social Circle Schools from Kindergarten to her Senior year.
Kaidyn is married to Bradley Farmer. They are members at Monroe Church Of God and help with the youth group. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with family, binge watching Netflix, and cheering on the DAWGS & Atlanta Braves.

Katlynn is a graduate of Verde Point Dental Associates since 2014 who then furthered her education in 2019 with her expanded functions certification. She has been part of Taylor Made Smiles team since fall of 2024.

Outside of work, Katlynn enjoys spending time with her family and her 2 little girls, Kaisley and Addison. They love to go camping, spend the summers at the lake, watch Georgia football, cookout with friends and most of all love a good lazy day at home! Katlynn and her family attend church at 1025 Monroe.

Cindy has practiced as a dental Hygienist for over 30 years. She graduated from Dekalb College Dental Hygiene program in 1990.
She is a lifelong resident of Walton County and resides in Good Hope with her husband Clay, who is educator and coach. They have two children Ron, Rylee and son in law Davis.

Jerica graduated from Georgia State Perimeter College in 2018 with an Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene. She has three children, Charleigh, Cooper, and Elsie and is Married to Jesse. Her family are members of Braswell CHC. She enjoys reading, being involved with church and spending time with family.

Jennifer has been with the Taylor Made Smiles team since 2012 and graduated from Georgia Perimeter with an Associates of Science degree in Dental Hygiene in 2002. Jennifer lives in Social Circle with her husband, Cliff, and their three boys, Will, Nate and Eli.
Jennifer works three days per week in addition to homeschooling her boys and being a soccer mom! Jennifer and her family are members of First Baptist Church Covington where she also teaches 4-year-olds in Sunday school. She enjoys reading, walking, and traveling with her family.

Kathy has been in dentistry since 1978. She holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. Kathy always brings some extra joy to whoever she's working with!
She and the late Dr. Taylor have two daughters, Kristen and Kelly. Kristen lives in Monroe while Kelly lives in Charlotte with her husband Josh and son, Cooper. Kathy has 2 Boykin Spaniels named Molly and Oakley and enjoys Georgia Football.
Our Founder - S. Craig Taylor, DMD
Our practice was founded by the late Dr. S. Craig Taylor. A resident of Monroe since he was four years old, Dr. Taylor was an honor graduate of both Monroe Area High and the University of Georgia, receiving a Bachelor of Science, Magna Cum Laude in Zoology in 1976. He continued his studies at the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in Augusta, being awarded the Doctor of Dental Medicine degree (D.M.D.) in 1980.
Dr. Taylor opened his private practice in Monroe in 1981, moving to our present location on Broad Street in 1986. He and his wife Kathy proudly raised two daughters, Kelly and Kristen. In 2014, Dr. Micah Shaw joined the practice and began learning the personal, welcoming care that Dr. Taylor had built into Taylor Made Smiles and the Monroe community. The two worked together to continue bringing healthy smiles to Monroe, GA and the surrounding area. Dr. Taylor resided in Monroe until his passing in 2019. Taylor Made Smiles continues to run with the legacy of care for our patients and community that Dr. Taylor left behind.
Over the years, Dr. Taylor's commitment to staying involved in the Monroe community was a priority in both his personal and professional life. He was an Eagle Scout and served in a number of leadership positions in the Northeast Georgia Council Boy Scouts of America, receiving both the District Award of Merit and the Silver Beaver Award. He served on the Monroe City Council, the Walton County Development Authority, as Chairman of the Monroe Utilities Network and president of On Stage, Inc., and in local student and parent-teacher organizations. He was a Past President of the Monroe Rotary Club and was both a Paul Harris and Will Watt Fellow.
Dr. Taylor was committed to furthering his education through his memberships in the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Clarke County and Eastern District Dental Societies and the Hinman Dental Society. He was the Eastern District Past President and served on the GDA board of trustees. He also held a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry.
